Paint It Black

What is Paint It Black Tanning Lotion and why is it so popular? It is a super heavy duty tanning lotion, as is evidenced by its name. They even have one called 50X, which I suppose means it’s supposed to get you 50 times tanner? I’m not sure how that’s being measured, but it seems to do what it says it will. If you are looking for a serious, serious fake tan, then PIB may be your way to go.

Of course, it is notoriously expensive, or at least it used to be. Now it is selling for about ¼ of what it used to sell for. Hopefully they’re not going out of business. Maybe it is just a recession price drop.

This lotion utilizes its own method of both adding a tan and simultaneously keeping it smooth. Now that is just great. They must be doing something right because they’re so popular.

Like many a tanning lotion this won’t protect you from the sun. It doesn’t have anything that will block UV rays, so don’t think it will. In fact is has special ingredients in it that actually promote your skin to produce more melanin. How does it do this? It lets in more, not less, UV rays. That is an ingenious design. These guys have obviously employed some scientists who know what they’re doing while they walk around in their lab coats manufacturing tanning lotion that really works. It is for the die-hards out there who don’t want just a little tan.

That said, it’s not for everyone. Paint It Black tells you right in its name that it is one of the heaviest tanning lotions out there on the market today, and if you’re not all right with that you can back off. Even its bottle has a skull on it and is painted black. Nevertheless something has made it the highest selling tanning lotion on Amazon, so you can’t really argue with that – it’s the people’s vote!

Another thing people like about it is that it smells really good. One of the main problems with some traditional tanners is that they smell like a factory – like stinky chemicals. PIB puts a ton of different stuff in this product, so they can afford to outweigh some smells by putting stuff in there that smells really good. This should not be underestimated, but you will have to put with a greasy feeling. In the end this is a way to get a heavy tan really quick. It’s not for the faint of heart.
